2022: Unceasing Rest
By Evangelist Aisha Namuli
Exodus 33:1-15 (NKJV)
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, To your descendants I will give it.’ And I will send My Angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked people.” And when the people heard this bad news, they mourned, and no one put on his ornaments. For the Lord had said to Moses, “Say to the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. I could come up into your midst in one moment and consume you. Now, therefore, take off your ornaments, that I may know what to do to you.’” So the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by Mount Horeb. Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp. So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, that all the people rose, and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle. And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door. So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle. Then Moses said to the Lord, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” And He said, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. Then he said to Him, If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” So the Lord said to Moses, I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.
We bless the Lord Jesus Christ for a new year, we have been ushered into through the help of the Holy Spirit, and by grace, we thank our Lord Jesus Christ for a new direction, He wants us to take in the year 2022. I know many people around the world make new year resolutions. How many of you know that by end of January those who started to go to the GYM, they go less, those who were committed to do something new in their life, they start to bail out. By mid-year, if someone asked these very people what happened, the response in most cases will be “life happened”.
Beloved, this year let the word of the season that our Lord Jesus Christ through the help of the Holy Spirit placed remains strong each day and close to our hearts so that we grow more and more in our relationship with Him.

Hebrews 8:10 (NKJV)
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
The Lord Jesus Christ for several months has placed a word that many people will feed on each year (the theme of the year for this particular ministry, church, and the body of Christ (believers who will be tuning in to partake of the word of God spoken on this platform). The word of God will usher us this year to enter into a posture of unceasing rest.
Exodus 33:14 (NKJV)
And He said, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
And He said, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
I believe, this year by the grace of God, every person has a direction, a journey, and an assignment the Lord Jesus Christ has set for them to accomplish. But, He is saying in amidst of all the new year’s direction for each person that His presence will go with those who walk with Him. Furthermore, He also says, He will give those who walk with Him in this year rest. l pray, we keep these powerful words in mind as we proceed in hearing the Word of God this year. This is due in large His Word will give every believer a sense of direction and strength to know what to do in year 2022. Just like what God the Father said to Moses when He commanded the children of Israel to leave Sinai. He said in His word.
Exodus 33:14 (NKJV)
And He said, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
And He said, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
When you read Exodus 33, the scripture shows, Moses met with the Lord. The Bible says He spoke to God the Father like He would talk to a friend. Initially, God the Father had said to Moses, to depart and go up from Sinai to a place, He had sworn to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He commanded him to take all the people whom he brought out of the land of Egypt. Now, we must remember, the children of Israel had enemies these were Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, and Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. But, God the Father, Himself sent the Angel to fight for His people in these chaotic times.
Beloved, since 2020, the world in its entirety, has been fighting with several issues which came in part due to the COVID-19 virus. We have lost so much, family members, jobs, finances, joy, peace, and so much more. You all know what you have lost! But, do you know what God the Father said to Moses, if we go back to Exodus 33, while commanding Him to take His people away from Sinai? He ordered Moses to take the people even when they were disobedient and obstinate to follow God the Father’s instructions. He said Moses should take them to the land of milk and honey. This right here demonstrates that God Father is a God of grace, who does not give when one does good, but rather bases His giving on His mercy for a sinner. Despite man stubbornly defying God the Father’s instructions, God the Father attempted to send men of God to speak to the children of Israel. Beloved, this is the God we worship, honor, and serve. Our God the Father already set for us our promises through Jesus Christ.
Under the grace covenant, which is the new covenant, our promises of the land full of milk and honey is on Mount Zion where Jesus Christ died and gave us all that we need to inherit as sons of God the Father. These scriptures acknowledge this statement;

Psalm 125:1 (NKJV)
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels.
Revelation 14:1 (NKJV)
Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads
Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads
Psalm 48:1-2 (NKJV)
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised. In the city of our God, In His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, The joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised. In the city of our God, In His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, The joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King
Isaiah 28:16 (NKJV)
Therefore thus says the Lord God “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily
Therefore thus says the Lord God “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily
Ephesians 1:11-14 (NKJV)
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory

Acts 20:32 (NKJV)
So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified
So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified
Psalm 37:29 (NKJV)
The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever
The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever
Therefore, this year we are entering into a continuous reminder of receiving from the finished work of Jesus Christ and walking in the finished work of Jesus Christ. This should become our lifestyle not something we talk about. But, rather a revelation we apply in our daily beliefs and operations.
In simplicity, the word unceasing means continuous or it means something not coming to an end. Spiritually unceasing means to cease from working or performance or movement. Prophetically, in this year, the Lord is going to recover our strength, direction, and faith to receive what He already fulfilled on the cross for those who believe and come near to Him.
In the book of Mark 6, we see Jesus Christ using this very word “rest” while speaking to His disciples. Many times, we have a misconception toward about the word “rest”. We have a misconception that when we rest we are being passive.

Mark 6:31 (NKJV)
And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
On contrary, a posture that rests in the finished work of Jesus Christ is a posture of spiritual faith. Under the grace covenant, rest is our manifestation of faith in all what Jesus Christ died and resurrected for us to receive and retain in our life.
Everybody has a past! However, as an individual, one must choose not to live in their past anymore. How many of you spend time reflecting on your past experiences, circumstances, and scenarios in life? How many of you revisit your failures, past hurts, pain, condemnation, struggles, and distresses? One way to show you, you are still reflecting, and revisiting some of these pressing areas of your past is by talking about the past. If you surround yourself with people who are judging you for your past mistakes, then you are still held up, and hindered by your past.
The law brings all of us in condemnation but Jesus Christ came for the purpose of bringing redemption, propitiation, reconciliation, and fulfillment of the law. As a result, as believers we entered into the covenant of grace and truth which transformed us into partakers of the divine nature of Himself. This means we are not the old nature or old man we were before we came to know and believe Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. That means we are living and walking in the newness of life in Jesus Christ who has given us a whole new identity.
The spirit of grace works in us to shape our desires and pleasures to be aligned to the will of our Heavenly Father. What is God the Father’s will for your life? The scripture answers this very question that many people struggle with in life and the answer we do have in scriptures is to believe in the Son of God the Father, Jesus Christ.

John 20:31 (NKJV)
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
This is where many religions have misconstrued their message of grace. They have found that preaching forgiveness of sins is a means of preaching easy believisim. Yet on the contrary, grace is the surety of a blessed covenant that manifests the power of God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ’s death which was demonstrated at the cross.
Did you know there is a difference between easy and ease? Jesus Christ paid our sins on the cross through His divine willingness to fulfill the redemption for all we who were sinners. Now, much as He went through all to fulfill the redemptive plan of our God the Father with ease, it does not mean it was easy for Him. Grace had and still has a price to it. It has a weightiness and the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So, the difference between easy and ease is that we can't say it was easy because He paid and suffered to accomplish all on the cross. But, we can say there was ease on the cross because Jesus Christ paid our sins once, and for all with a heart that came to magnify and glorify our Heavenly Father on the cross.
Under the grace covenant, the tabernacle of meeting, grace already established everything for us as sons of God the Father by our Lord Jesus Christ and our Great High Priest at the cross. At the cross, His blood gave every believer, (yes you heard me right every believer) at the tabernacle of meeting just like how Moses met with God the Father at the tabernacle of meeting in Exodus 33.

Hebrews 9:11-12 (NKJV)
But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Jesus Christ has set for us the cross as our tabernacle of meeting with God the Father. Beloved, ask the Holy Spirit to show you, where your tabernacle of meeting can be pitched just like Moses did. Ask Him to redirect you to the cross.
But, what we must keep in perspective by revelation much as you pitch a tent in your car, work place, bed room, always see the cross in amidst of that tabernacle of the meeting. Do you know why? Under the new covenant, Jesus Christ already established that for us on the cross. Today, we unceasingly rest at the cross. So, see the cross in your prayer closet or your tabernacle meeting.

Ephesians 1:18 (NKJV)
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
Matthew 17:8 (NKJV)
When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
Matthew 17:8 (NKJV)
When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only
Under the grace covenant, which is the new covenant, our promises of the land full of milk and honey is on Mount Zion where Jesus Christ died on the cross. At the cross, He gave us all that we need to inherit eternal promises, as sons of God the Father. He also gave us reconciliation with God the Father, we who did not deserve the mercies of God the Father. Remember, in Exodus 33, much as the children of Israel were stiff necked as the scripture terms it, He showed them grace by instructing Moses to take them to a land of milk and honey.
His Presence will go with you
Exodus 33:14 (NKJV)
And He said, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
And He said, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
Did you know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ makes our paths in life known to us through His grace, and by the help of the Holy Spirit? In light of this truth, these scriptures reveal every believers’ path led His grace.
Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV)
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
In Jesus Christ, we find strength, empowerment, encouragement, and motivation to move further in life. As we begin a new year, let Jesus Christ be the center of your life, and this year 2022, you will see an overflow of His presence consume every aspect of your life.
Acts 3:20-21 (NKJV)
and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
Before we proceed to plan this year’s nitty, gritty tasks, let’s first, take a commitment to surrender all our works to our Heavenly Father.
Proverbs 16:3 (NKJV)
Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established.
Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established.
Do you notice in the scripture, when we first and foremost commit (means deliberate surrender to something) in this context our endeavors, aspects, tasks, our own perspectives will be put into place)? Therefore, first seeking Jesus Christ, by giving Him our all, He will give us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding on how to tackle any given thing.
Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV)
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
In Exodus 33, God the Father told Moses that His presence would go with Him. What did He mean by this section of the scripture? In His presence, means we are at all times meeting in His tabernacle. This means we have pitched our tent where He is. Under the grace covenant. The covenant of grace and truth came through His Son Jesus Christ.
John 1:17 (NKJV)
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
This means under the grace covenant our tabernacle of meeting with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is at the cross. This is where we must pitch our tent the year 2022, in order to receive the unceasing rest.
The unceasing rest will enable us enter in a deeper and undivided attention with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And the more we know Jesus Christ, the more we shall know who we are in Him, and the more we shall know what we are to receive from Jesus Christ by the inheritance as sons of God the Father.
John 15:4-5 (NKJV)
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
Therefore, all the eternal promises, spiritual promises, and physical promises will come into manifestation for believers, when we dwell in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s rest.
2 Peter 1:1-4 (NKJV)
To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Beloved, a believer who has received the unending and continuous rest is a believer, who has received the revelation of what was already given to them on the cross. And l truly pray, by the help of the Holy Spirit, we go deeper in knowing, what is written for us in the word of God. Knowing and believing the word of God, day by day as sons of God, will enable us to dwell in His presence.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NKJV)
For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.
For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.
Being led by the presence of God the Father, means being led by the Holy Spirit through the word of God. Beloved, to know and believe God the Father, and the love He demonstrated on the cross through Jesus Christ, should be our ultimate daily reminder. This is due largely to remind believers why they actually get to rest and enjoy the free gift of salvation and redemption which the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ suffered through beatings and crucifixion in order for us to be made whole in life.
John 14:26 (NKJV)
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Do you see why we truly have a valid and paramount reason for us to enter this rest in order to enjoy what Jesus Christ came to die for us? Beloved, a believer who has not yet rested in the finished work of Jesus Christ still works, and performs for their salvation. A believer who works is one who will not enter rest because they think they are under demand from God the Father to make it to heaven. And yet, Jesus Christ already died to supply all works of redemption and salvation. He said it is finished. He meant He had completed the redemptive plan of our Heavenly Father.
Only in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shall we find fulfillment, purpose, significance, value, and the wholeness, fullness of life, health, peace, and joy. When we rest in Him and in His presence, our pleasures and desires shall forever be settled in Him. We are demonstrating faith in what Jesus Christ actually did for us on the cross. In other words, we are agreeing with the word of God, with the scriptures in faith, and we are honoring what God the Father sent His Son Jesus Christ to come and accomplish on earth.

Currently, there is an increase in the spread of the omicron virus around the world, physical and cold wars between nations. Many people are in fear and afraid about the future, how far living in times of uncertainty will go on as we move forward.
I want you to know, beloved, that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is our safety, protection, and resting place in amidst of all that is going on around us and around the world. Jesus Christ is our only security, peace, and quiet place in amidst of all that is taking place in the world. In Him, we have the most protection, beyond protection by the grace of God the Father.

Job 11:18 (NKJV)
and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Beloved, remain in His rest, and you will be secure, because in Him there is hope. As sons of God, in year 2022, we are entering into unceasing rest in amidst of all that is happening around the world. Do you know why this is so? Because we have chosen to take our eyes off ourselves and things around the world. We must chose to put our eyes on Jesus Christ, the author, and finisher of our faith to give us the security and protection in the days we live in.
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We must know and believe, He is working in us to see that all things work for good to those who are called, and purposed in His Father. Beloved this year, let the unceasing rest that comes from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ separate you from all confusions, fear, stress, worry, lack, and the life that Jesus Christ died at the cross to give to you. Remember, in Exodus 33:14; the word of God states “I will give you rest”. Someone say, “l receive rest today and all year long in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen” Believe it and rest will manifest in your life because the supply of rest is divinely given by Jesus Christ.
Matthew 11.28-30 (NKJV)
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Our rest is not going to come from or won’t be manufactured in a humanly manner but our rest will come from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who gives us divine rest as we partake daily of His word. In His word, we find answers to all our needs. As a result, we have peace in the finished work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We live in times, where many people live in anxiety, worry, and fear of what comes next in their life. But, these times which remain uncertain to many people around the world, should be different for every believer to trust, and rely only on Jesus Christ, the One who actually died on the cross to bring abundant life and peace.

Listen, you are under the grace covenant. Everything you are and do, is given by or it emanates from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Know that you are receiving rest because He wants you to receive what grace already supplied to you. Therefore, by faith we must receive what Jesus Christ already died for us to receive and that is a life of abundance.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Jesus Christ is with us, He will bring us out of every confusion of the systems of this world, His presence will be might upon His children this year. This is a prophecy we must hold unto this year. We are entering in Psalm 91, which is our hiding place and safety because in His word, we shall not see all forms of death.

and if children, then heirs heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
and if children, then heirs heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
We are blessed to receive the hidden treasures of the word of God in the scriptures and speak them into reality. This word carries the weight of God the Father in Himself. The word of God carries the supernatural glory of Jesus Christ and His power.
