Salvation is a gift of God and every believer received it by faith. Salvation is not something we work for or perform in order to receive God the Father’s forgiveness. We only believe on the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ, knowing we are redeemed from sin forever. There was a divine exchange between Him and every believer. In Isaiah 59:17 (NKJV) Prophet Isaiah foresaw Jesus Christ, “For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak.” There is a very significant element every believer should take very seriously. That is guarding one’s helmet of the hope of salvation. It is one thing to be saved and it is another thing to rest in the hope of eternal salvation. Every believer needs a renewed mind, conformed to the unsearchable, and unseeable riches of Jesus Christ. In 1 Thessalonians 5:8 (NKJV) believers are commended, “But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.” We must not take into account how the world perceives issues in life. But, rather as believers, we should draw our mind from the Word of God. That is why our primary scripture, instructs believers to take the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Today, we need to hear the Word of God frequently so we can have a change of mind. The more you hear the Word of God, the more you will be conscience of Jesus Christ’s grace, love, and blessings.
Today's Confession
Jesus, as You put on righteousness as a breastplate, so do l, put on righteousness as a breastplate. I believe, today, l take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God in You my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. All praise and glory to Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
